15. Team Manager/Coach


The Team Coach/Manager plays the key role in supporting the development and performance of each Pinnstars team. They work with players to improve their skills, foster teamwork, and create a positive training environment. Below is a role description for the Team Coach.

Who will I be responsible to?

  • The Head Coach and relevant club officials
  • Players, assistant coaches, and parents/guardians

Ideally, you’ll need to be:

  • An enthusiastic and qualified coach with a passion for player development
  • Knowledgeable about age-appropriate coaching techniques and game strategies
  • Good at communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to motivate and inspire players to reach their potential
  • Organized, adaptable, and able to plan training sessions effectively

What you will do:

  • Assist in implementing the coaching philosophy and playing style set by the Head Coach
  • Plan and deliver engaging training sessions that focus on player development and team dynamics
  • Work closely with the Head Coach to ensure training sessions align with the overall coaching strategy
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to players during training and matches
  • Assist with team selection and match preparation based on player abilities and opposition analysis
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive training environment for all players
  • Build positive relationships with players, parents, and club officials
  • Promote sportsmanship, fair play, and respect among players and staff
  • Support players' individual development and address their specific needs
  • Stay updated with coaching best practices, rules, and regulations

How much time will it take?

  • The time commitment for the Team Coach role may vary depending on the team's schedule, age group, and training requirements. On average, it may require several hours per week for planning and delivering training sessions, attending matches, and providing feedback to players. Additional time may be needed during tournaments, competitions, or scouting events. Flexibility and availability to adjust coaching plans, communicate with players and staff, and attend meetings are essential for fulfilling the role effectively.
